Getting into the Holiday Spirit!

Regardless of the holiday(s) you celebrate with your family this December, sharing time with the people who matter in our lives is the gift for which we should be most grateful. That sense of “togetherness” is what makes the season “the most wonderful time of year,” and thus it is a time to reflect on the love and beauty we feel towards others as well as appreciate the blessings that we have been given.

There are many things around us – events and traditions – that help to create that holiday feeling: joyous music, colorful lights, animated decorations, classic movies, holiday concerts, tree lightings, the aroma of cinnamon, nutmeg, and pumpkin spices, and that infamous, if not controversial, red cup at Starbucks. Holiday travel offers a wondrous opportunity to experience different cultures and regions all over the globe and to see and even share in other traditions. So how and with whom will you “deck the halls” to celebrate this holiday season. Will you travel to other places or plan a staycation in the comfort of your own home? It’s time to start planning because…’it’s beginning to look [and feel] a lot like Christmas!”
