There’s a fresh batch of winter carnivals this weekend, including events in N.D.G., Montreal West, Dollard, Dorval, St. Laurent and T.M.R.
If you want to make a day trip out of it, head for Repentigny’s Festival Feu et Glace, where there are extra bells and whistles, including fireworks and a ferris wheel. Other mega festivals include Laval’s Ste. Rose en Fête, plus the ongoing Winterlude in Ottawa and Quebec City’s Carnaval.
For indoor fun, there are a few children’s plays going on, including New Canadian Kid at Centaur Theatre, which focuses on a boy’s struggle to fit into new country and culture. And Place des Arts is hosting a Sons et brioches musical storytelling show — get there early for a free pastry and juice or coffee.
So have a great weekend and keep in mind that March break and daylight savings time (March 11) are both just a few weeks away!
