Fundraising for schools. If you haven?t heard about a mummy card fundraiser at your child?s school or CPE, then it probably hasn?t been organized. Let the home and school committee or the principal of the school know about it. It is as simple as this:
1- Mummieslist drops off forms at the school and it is clearly marked so that we know which school it comes back from.
2- Your child?s class or school gets $15 towards extra curricular activities, supplies, new educational materials (whatever your school needs) for every mummy card sold to the moms in your school.
3- That?s it. That easy. There is nothing else to do. Tell your principals or home and school committee to email mummieslist@yahoo.com to arrange for the fundraiser. The time to do these fundraisers is NOW.
Here are examples of how other schools have done (these are not final numbers as fundraisers are still going on?Hebrew Foundation School DDO $105, West Island JCC $210, Snowdon Y scholarship fund $75, CPE YWYMHA $210, Foundation School Shaar $285, Orchard House School $45. That?s almost $1000 for our community schools.

6—BABY CLOTHING SWAP AT BEBESSIMO——Babies grow so fast, and while beautiful clothing options abound for kiddos, you don’t want to break the bank paying for your little one to turn heads! So, to keep your kiddo in cool threads without costing you a penny, we are offering a ‘win-win’ swapping workshop on Friday, February 1st, 1pm!
How does it work? Simple. You choose 10-20 articles of clothing that junior can no longer squeeze into, throw them in a bag and head over to B?b?ssimo. Once there, we will display all clothes according to sizes and you will choose the same number of pieces of clothing that you brought to bring home with you!
Of course, a few guidelines are always in order:
-no major visible stains
-while all items of clothing are acceptable, try to limit the number of tees unless they are particularly cute or comfy
-any season is fine–spring will be here before we know it
-clothing from newborn up to size 4 will be accepted
-any items not chosen will be donated to Elizabeth House, a rehabilitation centre that provides pre-natal and parenting programs as well as education and counselling to young parents in Montreal.

———I am looking to start my own daysitting business in September. I would either like to take in a few children in my home or take on a shared nanny position in someone’s home. I have a 14mos old that I would like to have with me though. I have my degree in social work and am currently a school counselor in a high school, but I have realized that I would rather be with my little guy during the day. I have over 10 years experience working with children, and have experience working in daycares. I love working with small children, I am energic and fun, and love going out to do activities. I live in Cote St Luc and have my own home. We recently transformed our guest room into a great playroom with mats, fun toys, educational toys, and activities. I have pack n plays for the little ones, and have everything I need to take care of children between 6 mos – 4 years old.
