With Mother’s Day just around the corner, it is the time to feel proud to be a MOTHER....after all as Oprah always says.....Being a mother is the most important job in the world! Although it would be nice to be celebrated every day, at the very least it is great that we have one day a year that we are recognized and hopefully appreciated by all of our little munchkins. This year on mother’s day I think we need to celebrate and appreciate all of our accomplishments in Motherhood......as we all have many to be PROUD of!!!! Summer is just around the corner and we are very excited to offer all Mummies List members 3 exciting activities:

NEW - KARATE IN THE PARK (for kids ages 4-7 yrs):
Introduce your kids to the world of Karate with a professional instructor.
Join us at 4pm every Monday in Murray Hill Park (at the clock tower rain or shine) for an outdoor Karate class with friends.
Price: $70 per child for 8 weeks.
Classes start May 17th and run until July 5th incl.

BOOT CAMP We are very excited to be back outside!
Location: Murray Hill Park, at the clock tower, rain or shine.
Classes will begin at the end of May and go for 10 weeks. Two classes per week (Tuesday and Friday mornings at 9:30am)
Price: $150 for all 20 sessions (2/week for 10 weeks).
So drop your kids off at school or camp and join other moms for a great workout with a HOT trainer. What a great way to get ready for bathing suit season!

CPR and first-aid training and prevention for backyard pools
May 17 at the WIJCC -7:00-9:30 pm
Participants will discuss the responsibilities and expectations of the owner of a backyard pool. Focus prevention and knowledge of how to recognize the instinctive drowning response. Topics will cover first aid skills, personal safety, child-proofing the pool, emergency procedures and activation of Emergency Medical Services (EMS).Duration: 2.5 hours

Infant and child babyproofing/injury prevention class
May 10 at the WIJCC -7:00-9:30 pm
CPR (and Choking) for the Infant/child/adult with a focus on Baby/childhood injury prevention
This course will cover the fundamentals of CPR (with Automatic External Defibrillation demo) and the treatment of obstructed airways (choking). When to call 911 and how to handle an unconscious victim and prevent death until ambulance arrival will also be discussed. The course will include a special focus on injury prevention and the treatment of unconscious breathing victims and non-breathing victims as well as common household hazards.
Duration: 2.5 hours

New marionette show for children
Panadream Theatre is now officially launching their new string marionette show, Yorgo & the World! This show is aimed at children aged 2-8 and their families, and it involves 6 string marionettes, various other types of puppets, 3 mobile stages, and 2 puppeteers. It is 40 minutes long, and can also be performed in French. This show is ideal for daycares, schools, small venues and private birthday parties. Small discount for Mummies list members.Panadream Theatre is a Montreal based marionette company, and they tour their shows at various schools, daycares, festivals and community events. They specialize in string marionettes, which they build themselves, and their stories are fun, interactive, but also contain a deep message. They have presented our work at many festivals such as the Montreal International Jazz festival, the Toronto International Circus Festival, and have worked with Cirque du Soleil, just to name a few.
